The question of North Korea and regional security continues to play a major role on the world stage. This panel comprises of six papers that dfocus on interactions with North Korea and its nuclear proggramme.
Henshaw looks at the origins of North Korean funds for its (nuclear) activities, despite international sanctions. Kim reexamines the causes of the North Korean nuclear crisis while Kim Yong-ho focuses on North Korea's nuclear negoations. Burdelski's presentation sheds light on the peace treaty concepts suggested as solution to the nuclear crisis.
Ms Kim sheds light on South Korea's policies of engagement at the turn of the millennium, which led to some attempts at inter-Korean economic operations, explored by Kim Inhan.
