About the World Congress

The IPSA World Congress of Political Science is the preeminent international gathering of political scientists working in academia, research and consulting who present their research over four days and 500+ panels. It is held every two (2) years and for the first time, the Congress will be hosted in Portugal.

The next IPSA World Congress of Political Science will be held in Lisbon (Portugal), 10-14 July 2021. Over 2800 delegates from approximately 80 countries are expected to attend. The Congress will have particularly strong local and regional representation because it will integrate the biennial Congress of the Portuguese Political Science Association.
