New Studies in Political Finance and Political Corruption

Dr. Michael Pinto-Duschinsky

The last years have witnessed dramatic developments relating to the spheres of interest of RC 20 in many democratic countries : the drama surrounding Brexit in Britain, the rise of populism in the USA , and the advent of a new regime in Brazil are only some of better known ones . Alongside, and partially in reaction to these , we have seen new work on political finance and political corruption that attempt to address such developments and examine their impacts. This paper will examine the new research in the field , and raise a few questions concerning its future directions.
